Great Window Blind Shade Company
I'm a newbie, hope this is the correct place to post this. Actually I hope this post goes through. I tried twice to answer a guy looking for a good electrician for a small job, the post never made it. Well, I'll try one more time.
I'm a native Brooklynite, but just had to buy shades and blnds for the first time in over a dozen years. The company I used last time was out of business. So I opened the yellow pages. Whoa Nelly! I called two companies cold, and eventually got smart enough to ask people for referrals.
The first guy was a schmegeggi, showed me real schlock.Said it was backed up a five year no questions asked warranty. I didn't ask for schlcok, I want something with a good warranty. I read his warranty. It was worthless. The next guy did show me Hunter Douglas and Graber products, but his price was insane.
So, when I went back to work, I asked coworkers. One girl reccomended Bello Blinds. So I called Simon, the owner, and made the appointment. Simon called me ten minutes before he was due to arrive, said he was outside and parked, should he come up now, or if I was busy he'd be happy to wait the ten minutes. I thought that was very courteous, some people would just ring the bell early.
Anyway, it went well. Simon showed me quality products, and I ended up
with some real nice room darkening roller shades in the bedroom, and wood blinds in the bedroom. I only have them up about three weeks, but I've received compliments from everyone who has visited since.
So I strongly reccomend Bello Blinds for window coverings in Brooklyn.

+1 for using " schmegeggi" in a sentence
-
-1 PC point for referring to the male as a guy, but the female as a girl.
+1 for knowing schlock when it is shown. -
Shishkab: Do you know the difference between a schmegeggi and a schmegeggle?
Whynot_31 : Yo, PC? I'm from Brooklyn. Not an import. Your own approximate age or younger, guys are guys, girls are girls. 7, 15, 37, or 83 years old. It don't change. and if you are talking in refernece to older folk and their friends, spouses, it still apllies. A 60 year old man from Brooklyn may easily call his lady friend " my girl". and if that is the case, and one is talking to him about her, it is proper Brooklynese to inquire Yo,Guselo, how's your girl?
All that said, thanks for not deducting points for my typo in schlock.
Thanks for the replies, I already feel like I belong. -
losing a PC point is not the same as losing a real point.
Many consider such deductions to be honorable. (Some people deduct PC points for eating meat, for example) -
Thank you for the quick primer course. I now consider myself honored. I'm easily convinced. But not by some schmegeggi purveying dreck window blinds.
This guy was a piece of work. Offered me a discount to buy on the spot. Said if he had to return to make a contract then he couldn't give me that discount. I said kissen my tucchas. -

I'm not sure it's even a word. But a schmegeggle is what I call a endearing schmegeggie.
