Dry Cleaner in South Slope?

I don't need laundry or tailoring - just dry cleaning that won't ruin my clothes. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • I took some things to S&S on 9th street near 6th Ave. They did a good job with the cleaning, getting some massive rust stains off of some drapes (stupid radiators). The only weird thing is that they didn't iron down the lapels on my suit jackets so they kinda seemed to float a bit.

I also had a dressy dress cleaned by Hudson (I think that's what they're called) on 7th Ave around like 11th St. It came out well.

Both of those close at 7pm; if you get home later at night like I do you might want to check out the new "Spotless" I think it is called on 7th Ave at around 10th St - they're open until 8pm. I haven't taken anything there yet, so I can't vouch for the cleaning quality.

  • The best dry cleaners is Hudson (7th Ave. around 11th). They still place tissue in the sleeves (the last time I used them). My garments came back looking better than when I purchased them, The best, simply the best.

  • We've been .... um ... happy with Happy Cleaners on 7th and 16th. It's a block from our place and they've done a good job, so we have no complaints.

  • Thank you both so much! Hudson is right near me, so that's perfect - I just dropped my things off.

  • Thanks 8thandPrez - I didn't refresh my screen before replying on that last post . . .

Happy Cleaners is right near me, too, so maybe I'll try them next time!
