Ant here is some real crack for you guys...

ANT - It actually had coal. It was one of those black cast iron stoves that you see in museums these days. Had the handle you'd use to pick up
the parts on top of stove.

When I stayed across the street at my grandma's - she had steam heat
and I would get sick - wasn't used to it.

I remember we had the same type of heat Gas on Gas,,,, The stove in the kitchen heated the kitchen, 2 bedrooms & the bathroom... And the gas heater in the living room heated the rest. We had to put a pot of water on the heater so we didn't dry up like a prune... Those were the days... lol

WHEN I GOT A NEW STOVE THE GUY THAT DELIVERD IT SAID CHECK WITH BROOKLYN UNION GASS THAT IT WAS A COLLECTORS PEICE
WELL DID THAT AN GOT$1,500.00 FOR IT

Oh Ant - that's great. My aunt owned the house we lived in - and sometime during the late 60's I think - she put in basebd heating.
Stove long gone. But you got me wondering if that beautiful
pedistal tub is still there. That must be worth something....
