    lol ... I'll definitely try to do better next time. I added to link to the Observer article because I thought it kind of gave a good background of the history of this district (it sent Shirley Chisholm to congress) and some of the other people who may run ... people with ties to the neighborhood that he doesn't have, like Owens' son ...

    Because Congressional seats don't come open very often this will be a hotly contested race. Congressman Major Owens is retiring and a number of people will run for the seat New York State Senator Carl Andrews, Chris Owens, Councilmember David Yassky and probably Councilmember Yvette Clarke and Tracy Boyland.

    It will be a very interesting race.
