It's OK to argue and disagree, and in fact we encourage it, but don't stoop to personal attacks, name calling, shouting wild generalizations like "YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF GENTRIFYING YUPPIES", or other childish behavior.
* Try to pick one username and stick with it. If you start posting under different identities, do not be surprised when people get angry with you, or try to "out" you publicly as masquerading. Fakers will be named and shamed, and posts like this are subject to removal at the discretion of the moderators and admins.
*"Moderators" are the people who make sure these boards stay fun and useful. They have their own set of rules too (see below). Keep in mind they are human, just like you. Have patience. If you feel you have been treated unfairly by a mod, please contact an admin (see above). Complaining publicly about the mods is NOT going to solve anything - the conversation will be deleted, and repeat offenders will be warned or put on timeout.

smh @ this entire thread
This kind of act (if it did indeed take place) has nothing to do with race. It has certainly happened to black people who happen to be in all white nieghborhoods for decades.
It also happens to black people in BLACK neighborhoods. So you need to get off that highhorse with that BS. Children out from under the supervision of their parents frequently do stupid things.
Maybe if those youth had not had city services cut out of the neighborhoods they'd have somewhere to be instead of out on the streets -

Totally agree - except with the "if it did indeed take place". I wasn't there to witness it, but I have no doubt that it happened. But thank you for adding some intelligent insight to the discussion. -
@arrbecca -- I have been watching this string with great amusement all afternoon, and I wanted to commend you for remaining calm, rational and Socratic while a certain other commenter's posts became increasingly hysterical and hostile until finally that other person had to resort to saying it must have been your fault that you were attacked.
Good onya.

locking this thread because it's little more than a platform for cafeaulait to mess with people and have fun provoking. By the way cafe, I just figured out exactly who you are based on your comments here. Nice try coming up with a new identity.
