ooo, let us know when the Olympic Committee comes after you for copyright infringement!

There was an extensive thread on the PH board about local B&Bs and I think it included 3rd St. -

Hey, put that avatar back! wait till the OC tracks you down before you cease and desist!
[I was on a kids community team that actually got such a letter regarding our tshirts that used the rings - it was ridiculous.] -

That's terrible! I know this has nothing to do with my original post but do you have any advice on this avatar thing? I've tried photo shoping images but it only makes the file bigger and blah blah blah..... -
Haven't seen the other thread, but my folks have stayed there a number of times and they're always fine with it. They did say last time they were here that the owner seemed a little more 'scattered' than usual, but I don't know what they based that on -- their stay was fine.

I live a few doors down from the house on 3rd street and have been neighbors to the owner for many years-her name is Jane. She is a very nice lady-and keeps the house in good condition-though-I can totally see the "scattered" comment-LOL! It's cool because you get an entire apartment on the ground floor of the house for what you would pay for a small hotel room elsewhere.
I know people who have stayed there quite a few times and enjoyed their experience-I know she gets booked up quickly-so, chances of you getting your relatives in there anytime soon is not good.

That's why I'm trying to get the scoop now as they're coming in September. They are extremely booked so I could understand being scattered. Do you know anything about the parking situation?

On street parking isn't so bad in Park Slope, as alt. side parking is generally only two days a week (Mon/Tues or Thurs/Fri), not 4 days a week like some areas. I think 3rd St is a Thursday/Friday. There are also some parking garages nearby (Union & 7th, and one on 2nd St too, I think).

Why is this thread so stretched out?
Anyway-parking on 3rd Street is Monday, Tuesday-and, yes, parking is rough around here. Actually, Tuesday nights aren't bad since there is no alternate anywhere on wednesdays. I drive and it takes me almost 30 minutes every evening to find a parking spot (if I am looking for one after 6 pm)-anyone who says parking in the Slope is easy-must not drive! -

So some oldie but goodie Wisconsinites might have a rough time is what you're telling me. Maybe I should start a new post asking about parking garages then :?
