Ha! I believe it just might be.
  • Can I be "Lou from Bayside"?

    Is your dog named karma?
Never said I had a dog or is that your lame attempt at humor?

Oh, and I DO live in Park Slope as if that matters.

I am sorry you did not get my joke. I think it is funny that you want my friend to get hurt because he pushed a dog off of himself.

Um, I got it, see my post, but I don't think it's funny to crack jokes when a woman was knocked over by an asshole.

Pushed? Or slapped so hard that the poor dog fell over and knocked it's owner over too which you conveniently left out above. There is a difference.

But what the hell, punch a dog, cause a woman to fall over, just as long as your "civil liberties" aren't infringed upon, eh?

Hey, It is not about civil liberties, it is about self defense. I would push, slap, kick, mace (if I had it) or do anything I could to keep a dog off om me. How can I have any idea what a dog's motivations could be for jumping on me.

Anyway Eggcream, you should be happy. My 8 year old son put his glove into some poop left by an irresponsible dog owner while sledding in Prospect Park today. Don't worry, he still had a great day.

Maybe it was the woman's dog who your friend knocked over. Sorry your kid couldn't see poop in bright white snow but what does that have to do with knocking over a woman?

Seriously, don't bother answering, I'm done. Violence against humans, good. Poop on an 8 yo olds glove, bad.

Sure, if you want. Or need. Though, I have to say 'Yoda from Park Slope' has a nice ring to it too. Makes you sound wicked knowledgeable.

Above is the poop that someone had to scrape off their shoe onto the light post that my son slid into. I credit it to the owner of the dog that left it on the ground. Not the dog. Not the guy that had to wipe off his boot.

And eggcream, don't worry I am not gonna start knocking over women in any vigilante rage. But I might post the picture of the next person who leaves their dogs crap in a place where kids play.

could have been a transit worker or someone waiting for the R train.

This man or woman actually left their home today with their digital camera to take a photo of dog shit. Suffice to say, we are not dealing with a rationale individual.

You, your kin, and your "buddies" sure seem to be veritable "shit-magnets." No one else I know seems to have that problem. Maybe you need to check your karma?

No, I took the camera so I could take pictures of my kids and the snowy park.

After I cleaned off my son, I thought I would show you what I see when I see your dog.
  • This thread sucks

You're angry because you can't let your son hug a filthy lamppost bottom?

Do you encourage him to eat lunch off of subway floors as well? :?
  • .Thats low.

  • modsquad wrote: [quote=winstonsmith]There seems to be two kinds of people on this message board. People who like dogs and those who do not.
You're 100% right. I have dogs and I have kids and I am more accepting of people who don't like kids than I am of people who don't like dogs. If you don't like dogs there is something wrong with you.

This is the backasswards dog-hugging mentality I just can't wrap my mind around. I have a dog and I don't assume that if you don't like her there's something wrong with you. Dogs owned by people who don't train them and don't respect the rights of other people can be as great a nuisance as spoiled children. Very few children can bite and send you to the hospital.

The unfenced, off leash idea in Prospect park is asinine and scofflaws like Obamanut make it worse by flouting the very liberal rules that exist for the foolish dog owners who feel they must let fluffy run free.

I like dogs just fine, I have had a beautiful dog for over ten years, but I don't expect everyone else to love my dog and I respect other people's boundaries - I don't let my dog roll up on people who don't ask to interact with her.

I do not let my dog run off leash in Prospect Park because it's a dumb idea, exposes my dog to dangers and disease, and because my dog and I both get better exercise hand walking her with a leash for several miles.

Hey Obamanut, does your dog's poo glow in the dark? How do you find it when he does it in the Long Meadow at night?
  • Actually I agree with you rockhound. I don't let my dogs off leash either, even when permitted and I move them away from anybody who needs to pass. I presume no one likes my dogs until proven otherwise. It's a prejudice I know, but people who don't like dogs, well there's something wrong with them.

I don't let my kids off leash either even when permitted.
  • I let me dog off leash in the early morning along with the 10-15 other dog owners. Come 9 AM, the leash goes back on and we head home. He's happy, I'm happy. And I agree with modsquad. People who don't like dogs are sexually suspect.
  • I think the people on here should also bitch on this thread and vice versa

  • Adorable cartoon Hamilton. At last that is how I see it... Funny. Sometimes it is nice to just be funny.

And I agree with Mamacita.. certain threads should be set aside for bitching so that the rest can slide along a path of communication.
  • Thank you , you and Mamacita are right ,the board should be used to express our opinions and not be hostile if they differ.
  • Oh Hamilton.. forgive me... I fear I left another mean spirited post on another thread... but I just could not help myself!
