What Parents and Students Really Need to Know: The College Admissions Process
An informal discussion lead by Deena Maerowitz

* What really goes on inside the admissions office
* How to make the best decisions about high school courses and extra-
curricular activities
* Test taking and application preparation.
* Writing the strongest application essays
* Creating the best college list
This workshop will provide an overview of college admissions and some of
the myths and truths about the process.
PLUS:
New York's 529 College Savings Program
At the start of the meeting a representative from New York’s 529 College
Savings Program Direct Plan will give a 15 minute overview of the program:
tax advantages, the investment portfolios, its key features, Upromise
Rewards, and important disclosure information. She will stay until after
Deena's seminar to answer questions, as well.
If you are not interested in the college admission seminar and want to
hear about this important savings plan for your child's education, feel
free to stop by and leave early.
