how long was terrace bagels closed last time?

i remember in the 1980's terrace bagels had that fire and had to close for a while. does anyone remember how long they were closed for? i know it was a while. i'm going to say it was a full two years but i'm not sure. i know the owner of terrace bagels also owns the building so i guess he didn't have an issue with wasting money on rent for all that time

    sorry not totally related, but was the owner the tall balding guy who used to be there frequently? I haven't seen him in ages - but his picture still hangs on the wall. I assume day to day business was taken over by the black haired guy. Of course, I've been going there 10 years and the only persons name I know is Vinny.

    Looks like (across the street from Windsor) Terrace Bagels might be opening again? At 8 pm, I spotted the lights on and someone walking through the door...

    They were open this morning when I walked by, delivery trucks were dropping off provisions. I got a coffee. It didnt taste like rats ;)

    i’ve always assumed the same thing but don’t know for sure. i use to have a friend who lived upstairs from the bagel store, which is how i know the building has the same owner

    and yeah vinny is a super friendly guy

    i noticed that soon after (the guy who is probably) the owner was never around, the cups terrace bagels gives out started saying they have a 2nd branch in new jersey

    so i would guess the owner use to live in windsor terrace, but then moved out to jersey and kept his brooklyn business going, and then opened a 2nd branch closer to his home in jersey. but thats just my guess
