Fitter, stronger, faster
Posting for my friends who are teaching this new martial arts based conditioning class . . .

Fitter, stronger, faster
Conditioning class for women, Mondays @ 7pm
Get fit and have fun punching, kicking, and stretching your way through a workout built on basic martial arts exercises and techniques. No experience necessary and all body types and levels of physical ability are welcome  we can help you tailor the exercises to fit where you are and where you want to go.
We’ll put together an energizing mix of moves that build strength, endurance, focus, and flexibility. The teachers are martial arts instructors with diverse backgrounds as martial artists, teachers, and athletes.
Classes are $14 (10-class discounts available). Wear comfortable clothes because we’re gonna move! We will be barefoot, but if you need to wear workout shoes it's fine--they just can't be street shoes.
Classes held @ CAE, 421 Fifth Ave., Park Slope at 8th St, 2nd fl. 917.797.8825 for info.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I am a member of the Brooklyn Hash House Harriers, a drinking club with a running problem.
What The Heck Are You Talking About?: Hashing . . . it's a mixture of athleticism and sociability, hedonism and hard work; a refreshing break from the nine-to-five routine. Hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of r*nning, orienteering, and partying, where bands of Harriers and Harriettes chase Hares on eight-to-ten kilometer-long trails through town, country, jungle, and desert, all in search of exercise, camaraderie, and good times.
There are trails in Brooklyn every other Monday, tonight's starts at the DeKalb Ave station on the B/M/Q/R at 7pm.

hahahaha. Yes. And now, thank you kindly I have a pic of KW in a red dress. One can only imagine what I will use that for...
how you doin? -
excellent, I was unfortunately there to see it live. How have you been? Why don't you come out tonight? I'm not sure if he is coming but I know that T is, it would be fun to hang out.

I totally would if I weren't volunteering tonight. The HHH Brooklyn run never works with my schedule. I wind up having to run Tuesday mornings instead. Besides, I might be able to keep up with the run, but surely not with the dRUNk part. hahaha. y'all are way too hardcore for me. But you guys are a ton of fun to hang out with. So I'll chime in that any runners in the hood totally want to join this group. Its a hella good time.

bummer. I'll pm you so we can get in touch and grab a drink some other night. as to the rest of you, we now return you to your regularly scheduled topic.

That actually sounds pretty fun, although maybe that's just because it reminds me of my high school XC team (primary motto: "Run away! Run away!"; secondary motto: "A hacky-sack team with a running problem"). How pathetically out of shape can you be? I haven't run in eons and the last time I traversed 8 km on foot was probably in the blackout of '03.
