just moved into the neighborhood...anyone know of a local sports bar where i can catch tonight's hockey game on satellite?

  • I haven't been there, but supposedly the old Utopia bar on the corner of Washington Avenue and Park Place (I think) just reopened as a sports bar. Tavern on Dean often (Underhill and Dean) shows sports, too.

    5th Avenue in Park Slope has 200 Fifth and The Lighthouse (across the street and down just a bit) for sports.

    As a last ditch choice, Houlihan's at the Atlantic Terminal might also be showing the game.
  • Mooney's on Flatbush usually has a sports game or two, though it's decidedly more old-man bar than jock haven.
  • If you're looking for out of town games, you are SOL when it comes to the NHL, because OLN is AWOL on most local cable packages. IMHO, FWIW. Etc.
  • Kevin who bartends at O'Conner's on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays is a big hockey fan, so chances are he'll have a hockey game on if there's one to be had.
