Moving company that repsects your stuff?

Looking for recommendations for a moving company that really knows how to care for your possessions and takes care in the protection and moving of them. Cost is not the issue here, care is.

Thanks in advance.

  • When I moved, I used Brownstone Brothers. They were not cheap, but they were totally professional, and a pleasure to deal with. They come and check out your place and your stuff first and give you a binding estimate (there's no obligation just for having them come do the estimate), so there's no surprises.

  • Carnivore - thanks very much!
  • Subject: Flat Rate

I moved last month and used Flat Rate on the recommendation of a friend. They were awesome! They quote a flat rate based on what you tell them you have. The were FAST!! And about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of everyone else that I got quotes from. Not a single thing was broken. I was in awe!!!
  • I've moved alot and had some real nightmare moves, but I can tell you that hands down my best move (in fact, my only good moving experience) was with MSP movers. They moved us from CT to Brooklyn in december. The owners name is Mark, he lives in Brooklyn I believe. They take their time and are very detailed up front about figuring out what you have so they can plan accordingly. They are smart, conscientious guys & they do an awesome job. They wrapped all our stuff carefully. It was mid-range cost I guess, not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive.

    Good luck! Cate

I found them on this site:

  • Would anyone care to list what their moves actually cost, and approximate number of rooms of furniture that were moved? I'm moving soon, and would love to know a ballpark. Thanks so much!
