I'd just like to add that DH has been immensely instrumental in this whole apartment hunt. Every time I had yet another appointment to go see a place I did an archive search to find out what people had posted about the block and whether it was in a safe area, I found my broker (and learned of some to avoid) through posts here, and jaha127 was the one who told me that there were openings in the building and was tremendously helpful in telling me about the place and explaining what to expect in the application process (it's a city-subsidized building for moderate income tenants, so there was a LOT of paperwork). I wouldn't have ever found such a great place without this website. Y'all rock my socks, seriously.
