Going out to dinner tonight, nothing fancy and none of the places we usually go to are jumping out at me. i showed hubby the menu from Ghenet and he is not interested at all in going there.

  • Taro Sushi- BF and I went there for the first time this week- amazing food and decently priced.
  • GETFRESH!!!

    ;-)
  • Depends on what you are in the mood for. Alchemy is a sure bet. Everyone I've taken has liked it. Also Melt (they have a Kobe burger special at the bar (only) for $10!! with shoestring fries!)

Sheep Station will be packed but always has solid food: mussels, poutine, lamb, Aussie burgers.
  • I didn't even have to open this thread because when I saw belzjm name-I knew what he would say. is it like eating in a restaurant though? All the tables are up front -it would feel like eating in the front of a deli, no? off to look at the menu again

Just looked at their menu belzjm, and from seeing it, there is not anything on it that hubby would go for as a dinner item. But, I promise you, we will try it for brunch one day!

I have always wanted to try sheeps station, hmm
  • thumbs up for alchemy also!

LTS - GetFresh does have tables in the back now. It's a real restaurant. But I was joking with you. I'm not gunna push it anymore...

also, if you want a really special night, i just tried Char No. 4 (on Smith Street). It's INCREDIBLE!

  • I've been to the Ghenet on Mulberry. So yummy! Didn't realize there was one out here. Thanks!
  • Does your hubby like french food? Cantille (sp?) right by the Chocolate Shop on 5th is always quiet and romantic looking.
  • i was totally going to say primo atto, but i think you were the one who got me to go!

    ive wanted to try barrio.

Me too. Let's all go! Everyone on this thread!
  • table for 15?
  • i'd like to find a place with garlic knots, that's all i've been craving lately

Uh, every corner pizza store in Brooklyn?

Yes he does and we have never tried it! I do love Primo Atto, but we went there Monday.

Oh Flexi, there was this place on 4th ave, Dean St. Grill, that is now a crappy deli. But back when they had most buttery garlicy knots ever! I still mourn their passing.
  • If you're craving garlicky goodness, get the garlic bread app from Zaytoons. I call it the garlic pizza. It's pita bread with some olive oil and loaded with garlic. I could eat two right now...amazing.
  • hello? i'm not flexi! we are not interchangeable!
  • and i would like non-fat non-carb garlic knots

Don't mind her. She's unemployed and drinks all day.
  • OH SHIT! Sorry BP  it's the kitty avatars... totally threw me off. I'm a visual person. My apologies. Though you have to admit it's funny because you are both good friends.

    Bring back the pottery!
  • the pottery is back! the studio is open! i've a full inventory! i've offered 10% off to every brooklynian and friend!

still, little is selling. even though i get press. even though i was in martha stewart. i am actually searching for jobs, real jobs, to supplement.

  • brooklynpotter wrote: hello? i'm not flexi! we are not interchangeable!

No, they just wear each other's underwear.

Hubby liked the menu at Canaille but doesn't want to walk all the way there tonight . We are going to Miracle Grill for dinner, have only been there for brunch. Will be leaving soon, don't stalk me ;)
