Which individual did I personally attack? Please quote the part where I did that. I reported adverse effects of clomiphene. I wasn't referring to any specific individual on this thread.Kensingtonmom wrote: I am signing off because this has degenerated into something really ugly.
You've promised that before, but somehow I don't think you'll follow through. Who will provide the out-of-proportion hysterical reaction to any joke about strollers if you leave? -
I'll say to KM and TM both of you amped up the aggression in this thread. You are both pretty defensive, and don't seem to be able to sort out attacks from criticism on this subject.
Carnivore, I thought your post was really funny, but you were asking for it. :-) -
I don't really get all the aggression towards Kensingtonmom? And I thought the "joke" (if that is what it is called) by Carnivore which did seem to be about the twins mother, changed the tone of the debate (sometimes heated) into something else.

Yeah, it was hilarious. Hey, Carnivore, next time tell the stroller moms it must just be their time of the month. -
I think this issue has been blown way out of proportion. Yeah, moving off of the sidewalk into the gutter to let a double wide stroller/dog walker/ cell phone roamer/etc by sucks. However, be polite to people you incounter on the street and eventually it will come back to you. I'd like to buy KM and TM a beer and watch them shake hands and make up.

Carnivore wrote: FYI: anxiety, irritability, mood changes, and psychosis are among the adverse effects reported in post-marketing surveillance of clomiphene.
Charming. Here's another url for you:

Mine are identical (that means they were a surprise of fate, not hereditary, not the result of drugs). Your ignorant assumptions speak volumes.
Will be un-bookmarking this url now -- it's obvious how counterproductive all our talking AT each other is. I've been lurking and reading for a while, and it seems clear that no one ever swerves from their original stereotypes and assumptions in any of these threads. I'm done with unnecessary blood boiling. So see you on 7th Avenue! -

Isn't that what Kensingtonmom said, after *her* first round of schreech?

Karen in the Slope,
It's been a long flame-filled buildup with her. And I'm sure it looks out of proportion if you're just tuning in.
I wish this board would stabilize with regulars - I'd love to be able to check in here for really local news and gossip. -

I think K-mom was defending the honor of the Twins mom from Carnivore's kind of nasty joke?? I think?? So it is KM, TM and Carnivore you need to buy those beers for.
I too was kind of enjoying lurking and reading some of the debates here, but I think I will join the Twins mom and remove this from my URL also. Don't worry Steve, I won't be registering and becoming a regular. This site is just too mean spirited, you guys can have it! -
Boy times have changed, cause when I grew up, I was taught that mothers with babies (toddlers) were entitled to extra respect and help - as in hold the door, step aside, give up your seat, etc ....
It was considered the polite, neigborly way to act - guess that went out when Brooklyn got hip -

No, seriously both of you should stay. I think historically people that say they are going stop to lurking on bbs's never leave anyway, they just lurk some more and post occasionally.
In the meantime, I think we can all agree this thread has gotten exceedingly stupid. Let's just let it die.
Before we do that though, has anyone else noticed the person who started the thread has not chimed in since?
Now, die thread die!!!!! -
Subject: take a breath
hey, before it dies, i just want to chime in say that i liked the point that moms deserve a break and a bit of consideration, especially with two kids. and i don't see any connection between double strollers and suvs. it can't be easy using a stroller in nyc, esp in winter. I'm sure moms have plenty of complaints as well. yah, it's sometimes annoying to live in a city with 8 million people, but a little politeness goes a long way. i get annoyed at people who walk slowly and seem to instinctively veer in the direction i'm trying to go to get around them. but then i just take a deep breath and try to relax. it's really not so healthy to go around being angry, it causes stress that shortens life, and it's not doing anyone else any good either. -

actually, i found myself defending double strollers this weekend. so sometimes the ranting does result in small course-corrections.
