pre K, private pre K, advice/opinions needed

I'm planning a move back to Brooklyn during the summer. I've got a 4 year old who will be attending pre-K somewhere although i'm going to miss the boat for school pre-K program registration as that begins next week... we won't be arriving until August. (must have proof of address in the area in order to register, sadly - so we won't be able to do that.)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a private pre-K anywhere in the Dumbo-Brooklyn Heights-Cobble Hill area (or relatively nearby/accessible by car)? I also have no clue what it costs for a full week or a partial week. I thought i'd seek other parents suggestions on here first. Much obliged to anyone that might find the time to advise me.

Thank-you!

Frankie

  • It may be a little out of the way but TLC at 8th Ave & 18th is absolutely the best. My son went there. It's an inclusion program so some of the classmates may need speech therapy or have a physical handicap. Great playground on the roof. Do check them out.
