Palin/Jindal 2012!

I am no fan of the Democrats, especially NYC?NYS. However, I must say that every time a GOP mouthpiece opens his or her mouth they sound like an utter idiot and asshole whose head has been in the sand for the last century.
Jindal/Palin or visa versa? Sounds like "Two Morons and a Tea Cup" too me. -
Palin will never be elected president or vice president.
Will not happen. Period. -
This post made me laugh heartily for like 10 seconds.
Then I was sad.
Then I realized that pigs will probably not fly in my lifetime.
Then I calmed myself. -

Of course not, but we can pray she gets nominated again!

jindal on intrade, after the speech:

No, no, no!
Palin-McCain in 2012! -

McCain will be lucky to even be alive in 2012. And Palin has no future at the national level.

Poor Jindal, he destroyed any chance he had to be taken seriously. I'd like to see a Palin (Bible Spice)/JoethePlumber ticket for more of comic relief we experienced last fall.
-
On a serious note, Jindal's career is far from over. One bad appearance doesn't ruin a career.
What will dampen his (and Palin's) future is the complete dearth of relevant solutions for what's facing our country in 2009, or 2012, or any year that's not 1981. -

I dunno...tell that to Howard Dean. -
True, it's possible. But I wouldn't put money on it just yet.

It was his tone as much as what he actually said. He sounded like he was telling a story to elementary school children.
The content was inane too, but I think the tone is harder to recover from because now anyone who saw that speech thinks of him as a total tool. -
From reddit today:
Hello! How are you? Are you great? You are? That's great. Super! Super duper.
Today we're going to talk about grownups. You know them, they're those big old silly people who are big and old and silly and always using big words and telling you to clean up your room! Hah hah! Aren't grownups silly! Really, though, we all know that grownups love us even if they make us clean up our rooms and if sometimes they don't let us have cookies.
What grownups do you know? I bet you know your mommy, and your daddy, and probably your silly old uncle and aunt and your grandma and grandpa! They love you very much and sometimes they give you candy!
Well, guess what? You know another grownup too! Who is it? Do you know who it is? THAT'S RIGHT! It's me! You're a great guesser! WOW!
That's right, Governor Bobby is a grownup too! Isn't that neat? Hah hah!
Sometimes grownups talk funny. Sometimes they say things that are really silly! Sometimes they even say things that seem like they might not even be true. Sometimes those things aren't even true! Hah hah! Isn't that silly!
But what you have to remember is that even though grownups say things that aren't even true, they're only doing it because they love you very very much, and they want to give you cookies!
That's right! Governor Bobby is a grownup who loves you very very much and wants to give you cookies! Tell your mommy that Governor Bobby says you deserve a cookie!
But there are some grownups who don't love you and who don't want to give you a cookie. Aren't they meanies? That's right, they're big meanies! Those grownups sometimes even say things that aren't even true! Can you believe it! They are silly!
There are names for those kinds of grownups. They are called liars. Or Democrats. They hate America! Do you hate America? NO! Of course you don't hate America! That would be silly! Hah hah! Aren't Democrats silly?
Bye bye! Nighty-night! Sweet dreams! And remember, Americans can do anything! Anything! WOW! -
Conservatives are fully ready to embrace the destruction of the Republican party as a condition of the renewal of the conservative movement (a variant of ‘we had to destroy the village in order to save it’ thinking). Republicans in Congress seem to understand this and are doing all they can to hold on to the conservative base (having lost independents); hence, defeat, the Do-Nothingism of Boehner, McConnell, Shelby, and Kantor is celebrated, and the incipient purge of Snowe, Specter, and Collins (no support from the RNC) will shed more moderate Republican infidels. I suppose the logic here is this: they must shrink the party down to a white hot core of anti-government conservatives who, for some reason, want to be in government, in order to then rebuild the party. The risk is that public opinion has moved on from the Manichean political ethos of Goldwater and Reagan. Rather than pushing not-ready-for-prime-time people forward, like Jindal and Pawlenty (the Republican version of Wally and the Beaver), country club Republicans like Romney, or an evangelical talk show host like Huckabee, the party's future should be built around the winking, talent show tested grace of Palin. Besides being the favorite of Joe the Plumber, she has already proved her viability as political eye candy for the midwestern and southern tool belt and bible belt set. “North to Alaska” should be the battle cry for the next conservative crusade. This will surely make the Saladins of the Democratic party quake.

I think they're going to go with Romney next time.

you said a mouthful, well done.

I honestly think this may have begun to happen, although I hope I'm not just letting myself get too liberally optimistic. -
the way things are going ,I think our next president will be from china.

60 Minutes is doing a feature on Bobby Jindal tonight (show starts now, I think it's the 3rd segment)
-
Does he still think tax cuts will solve the worst financial crisis in 80 years?
Howdy, Stranger!
