1br/studio apts available in my building

Hey all-
I noticed two tenants moved out of my building this past weekend and I'm not entirely sure if their places have been rented. One is a garden level 1br and one is a second floor studio. I don't believe either have been renovated, and I think they're going for around $1500 with utilities included (not cable/net.) I have NO idea what the landlords plans are for renovating or renting them, but I know people are always on the lookout here. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll send you the mgmt company's contact into.

  • MOUGAR!!!!
  • Yeah, Mougar would you rather have that panty dropper or a garden? It's a tough call.
  • Wut. Panty dropper?!

Also to provide some more details-
The studio is probably pretty small, building is rent stabilized. The mgmt company kind of blows but everything is in working order in the building. Nice block, close to C-town and the Y. Building is full of young professionals and couples with a few rent controllers thrown in (its all studios aside from the garden level 1brs.) Good times, good times.
  • If anyone is looking for a 3bd/1ba on their own floor of a brownstone, but shared with roommates who live on another separate floor (its a 5bedroom total and you have 3 of your own - one is HUGE (like 500SF probably?) and the other 2 are "normal" NY size. I'm probably moving soon. Its a sweet deal. Too sweet to say the price publicly, but PM me if interested.
  • Update-
The apartments are not being renovated, however the fixtures are being replaced (new counters, sinks, cabinets, lighting and bathroom fixtures but no new floors) and the places are getting a NICE coat of paint. I saw the two studios today and they look 100% better than before, and the first floor is looking nice too. The prices may have increased due to this but I doubt much as the building is stabilized. I'd love to fill these with fellow brooklynians...the super says he's fairly positive there have been no leases signed although i have seen people coming and looking. PM me for the management company's number!
  • Oh also the prices were as follows with the previous tenants:

Small first floor studio (meaning a brownstone-like first floor so about a floor off the ground) was $1200 (its pretty small)
    Larger second floor studio $1350
Largest garden 1br with backyard access (shared) $1525

    Utilities included aside from cable/phone
