great question. heights coffee?
-
Not Heights Coffee. The GAP BPL, Joyce, Tea Lounge maybe.
-
If you can live without the beverage, try the Brooklyn Public Library.
-
there's a new coffee place opening on classon near st johns or sterling, right?
-
Yes, Chekhovian. Opened today, supposedly. I will definitely check it out.

And thanks all for the ideas. -
FYI-They sell coffee at the Central library. Other beverages too. (I don't know their policy for carrying drinks around the library as opposed to the little section in the lobby for eating, but I have brought my coffee to the computer stations there without any problems.) Lots of people use their wifi access as far as I can tell.

my favorite will always be the outpost - just slightly across the neighborhood border. outpost lounge, on fulton between grand and classon. love those guys.
-
In a couple more months the park is the perfect place
-
Oh right! Outpost. Good call.
And yes to the park! Can't wait for that. Esp because it'll be light out when I get home and still nice to get out there. -
The Outpost definitely isn't Prospect Heights, but yeah, it's a nice spot. Just don't go Monday evening when they have $1 PBRs.
-
Right, it's not in PH. But close enough that I would go there more regularly if I kept it in mind. And thanks for the tip.
-
The outpost is a favorite of mine but if you're looking for something local, Homage works. And in the summer if you're too lazy to Prospect Park it, Homage has a great patio. Heights Cafe is pretty cool and secluded in the back... All these places have beer and wine...
-
bristen's, when they're open.
-
I cannot believe there's a gentrification bar named "The Outpost." Genius.

Subject: New cafe on Classon??
Are you guys talking about Abigail? I thought that was more like a restaurant/lounge? I'm a student so I don't often go out to eat, I'm just looking for a place I can study and have coffee. What is the name of this new place? -
outpost is in fort greene, i think, travelriter.
-
i see people at abigails with laptops or newspapers from time to time. usually during the day or on the weekends though.
-
Loooove Outpost and the guys who run it. It's gotten much more crowded over the past two years though.
Where is Homage? And Bristen's? (Are they spots where you can linger and do a little work?)
Supposedly the new place on Classon is called Glass Shop: http://www.glassshoplocal.com/ Haven't checked it out yet, so I don't know if it lends itself to lingering and working. -
Bristens is a diner on franklin and Lincoln place. They have free wifi. A little stiff for lounging but great staff. Homage is on Park Place by Franklin. Great for reading, they have beer and wine. Been around for about a year. They also have free wifi.
Howdy, Stranger!
