Can anybody recommend a good one for our Park Slope apartment? I hear some cover your stuff when travelling (ie, if your laptop gets busted at the airport). Is it true?Comments

I'm using MetLife. They seemed pretty reasonable regarding reimbursement -
When I had State Farm renter's insurance, I had a separate policy for my laptop. It cost $50/year and covered things like "moron in airplane pours orange juice in your keyboard" as well as theft. Seemed worthwhile to me.

We own and we use GEICO-I know they do renter's isnurance also.
