  • mashin a switch makes no sense come on.
  • to be honest, i've never heard that one. i always liked "cutting" on and off the lights, myself.

    however, mashing a switch does make sense in houses like my grandmother's, where the light switches looked like this:

  • Sometimes the differences are more subtle. I like the difference in pronunciation between inSURance and INsurance (caps=emphasis). I also once heard a southern guy pronounce TCP/IP like tcpIp - emphasis on the I, where I normally hear it on the T or the first P.
