Moving to New York

Hello,

I am moving from CA to New York this summer to work in ParkSlope. I looking to buy a property and was wondering if anyone could recommend a patient, not pushy, honest agent who knows the following areas well: Kensington, Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Windsor Terrace - Basically areas on F Line Subway and in a very, very safe area with convenient shopping for a single female without a car.

Thanks

I would, if I were you, run the 'search' feature above in each of the forums you list. there are many brokers in this area who may be able to assist you, some more helpful than others. good luck. post to the neighborhood boards if you need help re: a specific area.
  • My wife and I bought our current apartment through Tracy McLean at Corcoran, (718) 832-4180: http://www.corcoran.com/agents/profile.aspx?userid=TMM&region=NYC

Tracy is really mellow, competent, and knowledgeable. Unlike most NY real estate brokers, she's not pushy or obnoxious at all. She actually reminds us a lot of an upstate broker we worked with for a while, except Tracy is super-sharp like you'd expect a NYC broker to be.

In short I recommend her very, very highly.
