Lost: Messenger bag (black/red) with iBook @ SODA Bar

Lost/taken on Friday March 17 at Soda Bar in Prospect Heights:

Black and red Timbuk2 messenger bag, containing Apple 12" G4 iBook laptop in padded red Timbuk2 case.

The bag also contained: black unlined notebook with many notes, papers (including student essays), leather folder, and a book (Perspectives in Ecological Theory).

The iBook is distinguished by 5 or so of the letters having worn off the keys. The bag is an essentially-unique black/black/red three-panel with unusual zip pocket on padded-side, and a bike-grease stain on the red panel.

Large cash reward for return. 718-399-2480 or reply here. I would appreciate having any of this stuff back, and would pay reward and not press charges for a good-faith return.

Oh my god, I think I saw your bag being carried out of soda by a black male voice. I tried to stop it, but it didn't seem to be fazed when I reached inside my members-only jacket for my fake gat.

Wow. I have a 12" iBook G4, that lives in a red Timbuk2 computer sleeve, in my black-and-red TB2 bag.. scary!

Do you have the lost machine's serial number?

Good Lord, people. It was STOLEN. Just say it. You're not going to hurt the thief's feelings. In the unlikely event that the guy is reading these message boards and turns up for his ransom, I doubt you'll see the book again. It was probably the first thing that got tossed.
