you mean the hand-decorating kind? only the pre-mixed.
Sweet tea , what kind of henna have you used? Is it the one that comes ready in a squeeze tube?
Or , the dry kind that you have to mix yourself? -
I take it this will also be the official Mougar Apartment Warming Party??
Shall we add that in the title?
Shall we bring housewarming gifts :alien:
FYI people: Mougar can totaly use a big first aid kit. It's bad enough I had to clean his blood up last night. -

Heh, I started cleaning it up myself but you made to go the bathroom to stop the bleeding first. You need to get your priorities straight.

I already have band-aids, rubbing alcohol and gauze, but I could totally use a suture kit. If someone, say, worked at hospital and could get me one I wouldn't say no . . .
But seriously no need to bring gifts (or laundry), just the regular food and drink stuff. -
A set of roof deck binoculars would make a great gift and a good investment.
-
I totally have some extra telescopes I use with my clients. I'll bring one to loan you, Mougs.
-
I'll bring over candles, etc. to make his house smell nice.
I'll watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy to get ideas.
He looks too threatening and male now, we may need to make him more soft and sensitive. -
I appreciate the thought, but I don't like scented candles. I prefer cleaning and making soup and cookies to get my apartment smelling nice.

He totally needs sachets for his drawers. -
Ooo my mom makes lavender ones!
-
He could use some pictures or artwork, a placemat, some rugs... but he'll probably settle for food and drink.
So, tomorrow Carny's? Remind me, what time?
Whynot, are you bringing leftovers? -
I wouldn't recommend getting him artwork. He has really specific taste.
-
So it's the 20th? I am lost. In any case, please make sure the place is clean! Thanks!

Chippendales posters, right? I'm sure we can track some down.
-
Mougar wrote: If anyone wants to come but can't make Friday the 20th, let me know.
What. Are you giving private parties? -
Perhaps this is where those nasty chippendales come in?
-
There is nothing nasty about firm man-boobies =P~
-
True. VERY true. But those dudes in that pic were butthisfaces.

Hello all, it is the 20th and it'll start at 8ish. I hesitate to even call it a house-warming party. Since mama et al last saw it I've added some a few things and it is starting to come together really well.
For the blank wall's I'm just going to start printing photos I have and hanging them. I may eventually get a runner for the hall, but honestly I think I prefer the floor bare.
So really, I'm doing well and gifts are completely unnecessary. -
like it or not, you are going to get gifts.
however, I (for one) will actually pick out something useful and tasteful. So, you need not fear quilts from my mother in law.
You should start giving us hints. ...what small kitchen appliances do you lack?
P.S. We consider it "our" place, not "yours". We want it to look good when we come over ...every weekend to BBQ on your roof deck and do our laundry. -
What kind of goodies should we look forward to ,whynot?
Is there any brownies??
Hey , Carnivore , can we get an address? I know where you live , kinda , but not really. -
left over from the baby shower: lots of soda, fava bean salad, cheese, baba knosh, crackers, pita.
Basically, we went shopping at Sahadi's. Carnivore will likely PM people his address. -

Um...baba ghanoush? -

So are you giving out details on the location or do we just go to your intersection and ask where's the party?

You don't have to worry about getting a gift from me. Thanks! -
I PM'ed my address to everyone who expressed any interest in coming over for the Kings premiere Sunday night. If you want to come and I missed you somehow, just PM me to let me know and I'll send you the address. Lurkers welcome.

I'll PM my address to the usuals and anyone who has expressed interest in the next couple days. No guessing involved, just come and knock (buzz) on our door and we'll be waiting for you. -

Em and Mama, the food write-up continues:
Basically, we went shopping at Sahadi's. Carnivore will likely PM people his address.
All of which will be served on green paper plates and matching green plastic-ware (because some guests didn't want to know the baby's gender, and it also allowed us to avoid being told that we were sexist for making the apt pink or blue. Such people seem to be everywhere. Or at least my desire to avoid them is)
But I digress, also chocolate cake and bakalava (Flexi, I need your help again).
I'll spare everyone the purple and green helium balloons....
P.S. Mrs. Whynot and I are not bringing anything with alcohol, so you'll either have to bring your own, drink Carnivore's, or (I've heard it can happen...) go with out.
Howdy, Stranger!
