I don't want to burden the 7th Ave. staff with this right now, but we're spending a quiet night at home, and were looking forward to a nice crawfish/andouille pizza. Unfortunately, it's undercooked and the cheese is mealy and has the taste/texture of processed American cheese, rather than the real mozzarella or provolone type cheese you would expect on a pizza. Please encourage the staff to cook it thoroughly. And please reconsider the cheese. It is not worth the savings! Please, create a great pizza that people look forward to ordering.
Thanks,
Andy

Bad news, man. Roach-free restaurants don't exist. At least not in this town. -

Don't they know who you are?! Somebody better let'em know...
That raises an interesting question- Do you receive any special treatment from local establishments because you run an high-profile (neighborhood) website? C'mon... fess up! -
Like Dizzy's, I'm afraid Two Boots as seen better days. After years of being our delivery go-to place we've dropped it off the llist due to poor quality. And we stopped actually going there in person about 18 months ago - I mean child friendly is one thing, total child chaos is another.

La Villa
has great takeout pizza
with long delivery times
so we always pick it up, in 10 minutes
maybe you can use Neighborhood Online Overlord status to get
andouille and cajun shrimp added to the menu

No. I don't walk around advertising it ... Though a few friends of mine have a habit of introducing me as "the DH guy."
I have to admit, though, that I did purposely use my dailyheights.com e-mail address to complain to Two Boots. Not to "get special treatment," but to ensure a response on an issue that concerns me, since I used to really like Two Boots.
I think it's telling that, despite using that tactic, they still didn't feel the need to respond.
(To be fair, it could be that it's a dead e-mail address... and if so, then they should update their website.) -
I've been eating at TB for years ... a lot of mediocre meals along the way I suppose (and a few fantastic ones) ... all in all I find it reliable and good for the price. The pizza I *lurrvv*, though, and I've never had a bad one.
The kid thing is a problem, but if you choose your time wisely and sit at the bar it's bearable. The staff there is great and I have friends who I see there regularly so it's worth it for me. -

Hey! Come on... I'm not Comic Book Guy. :-)
Anyway, I gave them 3 weeks to respond before registering my disgust with the world... -

what is the story with two boots...? were they ever affiliated with the manhattan branches? *those* have some really interesting pizzas, including the earth mother, a vegan version. the two boots in park slope is okay in a pinch but i don't go out of my way to go there. (note: you know what's really popular at lunch... the 2nd street cafe. who knew?)
I'm glad someone mentioned la villa. i also like their pizzas. however when you order from there, they add on a $1.50 delivery charge. it's the only place i've experienced doing that in a very long time. if you ask the delivery guys, they say they don't get that money so you end up adding on a bit more and it's crazy. and annoying. at least that money should go to the delivery guys... what's up with that? -
Sounds like crap to me. It's like when a business charges you a service fee if you use a credit card - ok, I know it costs you a couple points but the convenience allows you to widen your customer base. Same thing with delivery, but as long as they make it known in advance, you have a choice...

I think it's messed up too...
you're right if you know in advance but they don't tell you when you order!
In fact, I complained the first time and they gave me a $1.50 credit! I've ordered since then and they've never mentioned it and they don't know me or that I've ordered there before. So there is not full disclosure.
