Subject: Mom's flyers warn B'klyn nabe of man charged in kid's molest

I know there are alot of mothers who read this blog, so I just wanted to give you an FYI.

Also, I don't think this guy went to trial yet, and its also important to remember that you are innocent until proven guilty. But this is just a reminder about being cautious…

    You are only innocent until proven guilty - in a court of law.

    Quite frankly it is amazing to me that people would critisize this Mom. I can only say that this guy is lucky it wasnt my daughter cause I promise that I would be GUILTY of much worse than a flyer campaign and I wouldnt want a presumption of innocence from my neighbors either....

    Its a tough call but as a parent I think I would have done the same thing. Now my husband - that's a different story.

    I check this site every couple of weeks to. You would be amazed at the results

    How can you criticize?
    A mom found an uninvited grown man in her daughter's room with his shirt off.
    (pause to think)
    Enough said.
    I can't think of any reason this would be ok, no matter how many neighborhood chores he has done.
    If he is found to be innocent, then she can go around a put flyers on peoples doors and anyhere else with an APOLOGY. That seems fair enough; admitting when you are wrong.
    But until then, the children in the 'hood may be safer and that is always a VERY good thing.

    Since these people would have no idea, there opinion is as good as mine - so here is mine;

    No mother is going to publicly accuse a man of seducing (notice she didnt use rape) her 13yr old daughter and thereby hold her daughter and herslef up to scrutiny unless she is telling the truth or mentally disturbed, since no one has accused this mother of being mentally disturbed; until I hear otherwise I'll presume he acted as she said -

    BTW if a jury fails to convict it doesnt mean he is innocent, it simply means 12 jurors werent convinced beyond a reasonable doubt.

    Well stated. Unless this woman turns out to be a nutter, what could her motive possibly be? To sue and get her claws on the guy's handyman lewt? C'mon. And yeah. Some people that know the guy want to believe he's innocent - if I had known him for years upon years I might want to believe it too. Three out of four tabloid stories about brutal slayings in this town feature the perp's mama saying, "Oh, he's such a good boy, he would never do this."
