Where to go for a shave — Brooklynian

Where to go for a shave

edited November -1 in Park Slope
It's that time: The spring shearing. Winter Anthony is dead. Long live spring/summer Anthony! Well, long live him until Labor Day, anyway.

So, I've never gone for a haircut or a shave in Park Slope. I'm less concerned about the haircut than I am the shave. Where should I go for a proper shave in the neighborhood?

  • Finally! So glad you're getting rid of that thing on your face. Such a handsome guy, covered in all that fur.

Tell your fiance I'm happy for her.:wink:
  • My oldest got a shave yesterday at Park Slope Barber Shop on 5th Avenue, he looks good!

  • Benny's on 5th and Douglass... they do a really thorough hot towel shave.
  • Why do i think you all know Anthony's fiancee? is she someone here?
  • She's not on here, but I have mentioned Future Wife in past posts, and I've met one or two people on this board in person (which I only vaguely remember due to the amount of beverages I had before getting to the bar).

Future Wife doesn't mind some facial hair, but I don't trim the beard at all from Labor Day through March. In March it all disappears for a few months until Labor Day comes around again. Future Wife is happy with the beard up until December, and then it gets a bit much for her.
  • Anthony- did you see my post about the photographer prices? I'm just curious to see if my deal is about average....lemme know.
  • Just sent you a PM on what we've seen from photographers. And to keep this somewhat on topic Future Wife hasn't decided if she wants me clean shaven or with a reasonable beard for the wedding photos. I have told her that it's entirely up to her.
  • I know you said Park Slope, but do yourself a favor and hop on the F to E. Bway and head to Franks....
