Just received word from a friend of mine that a woman he knows was attacked by a couple of big guys outside of a bar in the slope and afterwards they rode off with her money and phone on choppers. When she filed a police report the cop told her that it was the third case of guys on choppers attacking a lady (one was 19) he'd recently heard of in park slope.


Warm weather brings out these motorcycle punks, looks like they're all riled up.

Just a heads up to the ladies to keep your eyes open when walking alone.

    p.s. the local papers' police blotters show an awful lot of break-ins, but no street assaults

    to all the women in the hood. Its not really save to walk around alone here.. especially leaving a bar. People look for vunerable victims and nothing more vulnerable than a woman leaving a bar alone.

    Maybe Comfortably Snug wasn't given the name of the bar. I still think he's providing something useful by warning people to look out for these guys. Lighten up. Maybe you shouldn't post obnoxious responses.

    I think the request for more details is quite legitimate.

    After all, the original read just like the "OMG a friend of a friend said that all gang members must mug 20 girls on the 20th" type urban myth emails that occasionally turn up around here.

    Unless, you are willing to link to a news report or something a bit more substantial then I think it is fair to say this is just scare mongering.
