The new Mura — Brooklynian

The new Mura

I can't remember if there's been a thread about this specifically, but I've eaten at Mura (5th ave bt 4-5th st) three times since it reopened after the fire and I have been so so so so pleased with my meals. I frequented Mura takeout and eat-in prior to their fire and reopening and always had experiences on-par with other sushi places in the hood (Kiku for example) but I would have to say that whatever they've changed since re-opening has made a huge difference- my sashimi has been super fresh with dark red tuna and excellent yellowtail and the rolls I just got for takeout are SO delicious. The delivery is fast, I never get a busy signal and the waitstaff are super nice...AND the waitress who usually answers the phone when I call in speaks VERY clearly and reads back my order which has never been messed up.

Plus the prices are pretty decent. Its no Nobu, but its worth a visit.

  • I have eaten there post fire and the place is very good. the Garden is lovely so as the weather improves and the Garden is open it is a lovely warm weather destination.
  • Mura is the best! That is our sushi delivery option.
