Tempo, Elementi or Melt?

Coupons?? What kind of deal are you getting?
I've only been to Melt, but I like it. The tuna tartar is great, they also make great shoe string fries. -
I really like Tempo. Get the duck roll appetizer and one of the seafood entrées. Kick ass wine list as well.
-
i like both Tempo and Melt -- you won't be disappointed in either meal. i don't know if it makes any difference to you, but Melt is a little more mod/trendy, and Tempo is a little more quiet.
-
I am boycotting Elementi (long story), so vote for the other two. Tempo is good, never been to Melt.

I vote for Tempo. It is possibly the most underated restaurant in the area. I ate at Elementi a few nights ago and thought the food was pretty good. I did not love my meal at Melt when I was there about a year ago, but my wife liked her burger. I don't think you can go wrong, but Tempo is my favorite of the three. -
I have some sort of weird hatred for Elementi, don't ask me why. i have never been there nor do i intend to go there.
Anyway, I have been to Tempo a couple of times and have really enjoyed it as has hubby. never been to melt.
Where in the world did you get coupons? -
Melt, what sort of magic coupons are these???
-
Melt has an amazing "at the bar" special of their version of wagu (sp?) burger with shoestring fries for $10. It's pretty awesome, plus the bartenders are always soo nice!
-
Magic coupons = Diner's Deck card that give $10 off $30 food purchase. Pretty good! I have used a ton in Manhattan and am now looking at some in my nabe. There's one for Applewood and another for Farm on Adderlay (sp) wheeeeee!

Here they are:

I have never heard of these, are there a lot of Brooklyn restaurants included? I use to buy those huge coupon books years ago but found that I didn't use them that much, wondering if this is worth it. -
I ate at Elementi once..didn't enjoy it. Ironically next month we are going to a Bat Mitvzh party there.
-
LTSloper: There's a list of the restaurants in the link you posted. I agree, I buy these books and then forget to use them. But Scarlett, if you haven't used the one for Barrio yet, take me for margaritas, por favor!
-
I received a deck a couple years ago for Manhattan and used about 20 of them myself and gave about ten away in birthday cards and such. Some of the places had already closed. I love it! Santa got mine for $25 at Christmastime, and I have already used like 7 of the cards, so I am out ahead.
Doodoo, it only covers food! How about I get the food and YOU get the marghs? Mmm marghs. You know my all-you-can-dr**k-drinks friend is moving to Barrio's block in a week! -

ugh, I'm a dope! Didn't even see the list-thanks! -
Barrio is bullshit. If you go there you deserve to get terminal diarrhea.

I've actually always wanted to try Barrio but could never get Mama interested (most likely because she makes better Mexican food at home).
Oh and you can throw the card for Trout away. Gone. I've eaten at Korhogo 126 several times and it's quite good - African/French. -
Actually, I have started a collection of cards for places that have closed and if I send them in later this year, they have to send me new cards for open restaurants!
I want to go to Korhongo but every time I think of it I hear a wordplay that disturbs me.
I like Barrio though- all the neon colors are in fashion right now too! -
Trout closed?!

A few months ago at least. Pacifico is still open. One of the few Alan Harding restros left. -

I'm dying to go to Barrio before restaurant week is over... although I might make E take me tonight since he got paid tonight -
K, that's fine. I was planning on taking someone else to Barrio anyway. :x

I think we should ALL go tonight. Between your card and Carmen's boyfriend's paycheck, the rest of us eat and drink for free!! :P -
Uh huh. First of all a lady is not supposed to accept an invitation with this little notice. Second of all these cards work best when it's dinner for two. And third, I have plans already.
-
...who needs Scarlett's silly card when we can spend E's money?
Surely we can act interested in his tales from work in exchange for dinner.
Carmen, that's what you do, right? -
call my ass hookers!!

Your bottom is a soiled dove!!!!!!!!

Maybe you all forgot what the poor kid does for a living. I have to beg and plead to get a dinner out haha. I don't actually know if we're going tonight or tomorrow or sunday but goddamnit I'm going to make him leave the house at some point this weekend. -

Guilt!
She guilts him into taking her to dinner and now us for not spending the fortunes he earns by scaring pedestrians.
....fine.
Seriously, who's going out this evening?
