Recs for a blow-dry in the slope?

Posted this on Chicklynian but didn't get much response, so thought I'd try here. I have a special event on Tuesday evening and would like to get my frizzy hair blown dry so it looks nice for the event. (commonly called a blowout). I'll be in the slope during the day--any suggestions for a good place to do it? i really don't want to schlep out to Blow in the city (where i usually go) since it's totally out of the way.

  • So this is what goes on on Chicklyinian??? Chicklyians look for local BLOW JOBS????
  • Almost anyplace will do a decent job. Alex at Studio 97, John at Michael's, Regina at (can't recall the salon's name, but it's on 7th Ave. at around 14th Street, in the middle of the block). All charge around $30. I've also gotten good blow outs at Creative Hair on 9th Street. Or if you want it super strait for really cheap, you can try one of the Chinese salons on E. Broadway about a block or two south of Rutgers St.
  • i got a great blow out by texas at slope suds (and i have really curly hair and she did it in about 7 minutes
