Need a Primary Care Physican — Brooklynian

Need a Primary Care Physican

I've used the board search feature and can't seem to find anything on this so I'm posting in the hopes that no one freaks out telling me there have already been 145345 posts about it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a great PCP in the slope? Someone that will return calls and someone that will give me referrals when I need them?

I have Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also have access to a database online to xreference any names and quickly determine if a doctor is on my plan. So if anyone could just give me some names it would be incredibly helpful.

At this point I'm flying blind in a list of nearly one thousand names.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

  • Thanks so much for the suggestions. Does anyone else have any names they can offer?
  • try searching for "GP".
  • Michael Raffinan at 33 8th avenue is good.
  • do a search on this board for "doctor". This topic is discussed frequently
  • Just an update:

I saw Elie Fteha today and he is AWESOME.

He listened and asked a ton of questions and really actually cares. I am so freaking psyched.

He also told me that he can make referrals over the phone savingme time and money.

Thanks you everyone for your help!

I don't get it -- on the BCBS site, Elie is listed as female, as one would expect with that name. Did you see a colleague of hers or something? I need to see a doctor tomorrow (think I have bronchitis), and if your review of him/her is accurate, I think I'll check Dr. Fteha out.
  • FWIW, I think there are actually two Dr. Ftehas. My wife has seen both of them. Both are male. They are cousins.
  • Ah, okay. Someone on the BCBS site must have just assumed "Elie" was female. Thanks.
