    AT&T and T-Mobile both suck.
  • Rant: its been quiet around here...wtf. Im bored, people.
  • [quote=VoodooNYC]Rave: A picture of Carni's crappy-ass cell phone taken last night. But keep telling yourself you don't want an iPhone, my friend. Eventually you might even believe it. :)

Fuck you! You're just jealous because you know that that phone is totally punk rock. And that phone on the Verizon network is better than the iPhone on AT&T at the main thing I need it for, which is MAKING PHONE CALLS.

Ouch. Hello nerve. Did I touch you?
  • Someone must have touched me, cuz I feel dirty today. WHICH ONE OF YOU WAS IT!?!?!?!??!?!
  • Rave: Working oven = ribs for dinner
Rant: They won't be done until ~10

I think it was a Hooter girl.

Makes no sense. Surely you'll concede that if I wanted an AT&T iPhone, I would already have one, and that I could have one tomorrow if I choose. Thus, my not having an iPhone is a choice I have made after considering the options. Hence "jealousy" "nerves" or whatever makes no sense.
  • Carmen wrote: Rant: its been quiet around here...wtf. Im bored, people.
my incessant postings have dropped because ...wait for it....

    wait
    wait

I actually have work to do for a change.

Meh. The only thing I concede is that you are one stubborn MF who desperately wants an iPhone, but only through Verizon. You know more about iPhone than Steve Jobs! I'm just puzzled by your dedication to phone service providers, given that Verizon may become AT&T tomorrow which may become T-Mobile the day after. It's ok, Carn, you can play with my phone whenever you want. :)

No question, I'll get an iPhone when I can use it on Verizon. Verizon's network is just the best in New York City, with the best phone service, and I get great reception inside my apartment, which is important since I have no land line. If it were possible to jailbreak an iPhone and use it on Verizon's network, I'd already have done it, but it's not possible because it's CDMA not GSM. There's no way I'm carrying 2 phones around, so in the meantime, I'd rather have my quite functional Samsung on Verizon than an iPhone hobbled by AT&T's crappy network. I can wait until AT&T's exclusive contract expires.

Rant: I think I'm really sick. may need to see a doctor tomorrow, which sucks cuz it's Papi's b-day and I should be taking him out.

    Rant: Sick? Nooooooo!
    Rave: Happy Birthday, Papi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jocolor:
  • Yeah, not good, especially with out insurance on my part. Poor boy, I may have to buy him an expensive bottle of aged single-malt whiskey while I stay in bed. I already threw up 3 times today so there's no way I can take him out to dinner tomorrow. :|
  • Calm down , people.

Carnivore , just get an ipod touch 2nd generation. It's kinda like the iphone.

You could even make calls with it if you want.

But you can only access the Internet if you're in range of an open WiFi network. And I don't want to carry 2 devices around.
  • Understandable.

So , what do you want the iphone for then? What about it did you like?

I got the ipt more for the wifi when I'm out (there's open signals like crazy when you go outside) and the applications are a huge plus. It's really fun.

It's really light and sleek. You won't even know it's there.
  • With the iPhone on AT&T and the Palm Pre soon to be out and exclusive to Sprint, you might have to reconsider your stance on carriers, Carni.

As for keeping this on topic....

Rave: I've made it to the gym three days in a row.

Rant: And I feel beat up by it.

Once it's available with good enough phone service to be a plausible replacement for my current phone, I'll get it as my primary phone. Then I'll be able to get Internet over 3G or WiFi. In the meantime, it's not worth it to me to carry an extra device around.

Sprint is just as bad as AT&T.

Rant: All the carriers in NYC suck except Verizon.
  • Why does everyone hate on Cingular/ATT? I've had them since 98 (actually I believe I had bellsouth which merged into cingular shorly thereafter) and have had minimal problems for 9+ years of service.

You see, Carmen, people "hate" the things they're scared of or don't understand. Or the things their wives won't let them have.
