Does anyone have a regular poker game they'd be willing to let me join? Or does anyone want to set up (I'd help) a regular poker game in the nabe? The only ones I hear about are in SI or Queens and that's just exhausting. I don't care about style - 5 card, hold 'em, 7 card, etc. I like to play and need to practice more regularly (have been playing since I was a kid, but I could care less if you and your buddies are recent converts). if there is cost involved, I'd prefer it to be minimal. in any case, PM me if you're not willing to make a public statement - I just wanna play.

    I'd be in. Hold'em tourney style, 20 buck buy-in, escalating blinds. That's the way to do it.

    I'm in if it's anything but hold 'em. Let's play the games we did growing up with wild cards etc. I got a poker table and chips. Anyone got a backyard to play in? That way smokers will be welcome.

    Now that's what I call poker, new dealer new game, I don't really care for hold 'em, but I recon it's cause I always loose at it. any body ever herd of guts? follow the crazy queen? Baseball? High chicago low in the hole duces wild? it's games like that that I'm all about. now we've got MORE than enough people who have shown interest but we need 4 to 6 people actually dedicated to making it reeally happen. if yer down for the real shoot me an email, what'd be nice is a sweet rooftop ( maybe after it stops bein so windy ) smoker outdoors are fine by this kid, but if it's inside an all yall smoke, it aint gonna be me babes...

    I got a backyard and I know follow the queen and baseball. Guts...Is that the one wher you pick between the two other cards? Anytime we've played that we have to put a limit on the pot or someone gets screwed.

    I know a little bit on how to play (willing to learn) plus I have a big backyard and we can make as much noise as we want.

    yeah Capn M, you can get royally screwed with guts, it's not called brains, and a cap is often enforced... it's a 2 card drop 'em or hold 'em game, real fun tho... so we have a Yard, a table and chips. now we need a time, I'm outta town this weekend till wed, next weekend?

    Sadly, no. Perhaps we should try to reschedule for the Sunday after next (aka the Sunday AFTER Easter, since many people seem to be busy on Easter Sunday). Sound good?

    Do we wanna try for Easter Poker? or I think it's better to try for the weekend after, Saturday or Sunday night. 11238 and Stacey have both offered to host, can we get a conformation? Weather aughtta be awsome by then if it doesn't rain. :)

    I'm up for poker just about any weekend except this weekend and next. Not because of Easter, but because I'm going away on Wednesday for a week and I have to spend this weekend with my wife and it's our anniversary so yeah, it's a good idea to be with her.

    But please keep me in the loop, I do have a table and chips (and I know lots of neat wild card games!)

    I don't think Stacey is available this Sunday, unfortunately.
