on tipping your delivery guy

Etiquette dictates that you at least invite him to smoke a bone.
-
Id tip a little bit. They're paid like normal delivery people as a set amount per run, so I'm sure theyd appreciate it.
-
well the unit cost is already higher, but i guess the delivery guy does take most of the risk.

You can always cut out the middle man and pick your weed at any local vender cart:
Click the google darts it's hilarious!

it's kind of an awkward situation.

Now way, they make like $10 on each item sold. You buy four they make $40. -

Let's see, usually you get like 2 grams for about $50 - $60, if in Manhattan. Brooklyn you may get a little more, maybe 3 grams, tops. Hence $17 - $30 a gram that they sell it for.
At the most a dealer will pay $350 - $400 an ounce, probably less if they are moving bulk. 28 grams per ounce, that's $12.50 - $14.50 per gram that they pay.
So the average $50 - $60 bag gets anywhere from $15 - $35 in profit. Depending if the weed delivery guy is the main dealer or just working for him and depending if they are in Manhattan or Brooklyn they definitely make quite a bit. -

Well, they should ask for more, someone is making off well. I know I wouldn't take a risk like that for less. -
Pot-flavored nut trucks? Is this the latest midtown snack craze?

I think they get tips occassionally, sometimes in the form of food haha. As in any industry, tipping is appreciated. -

solid analysis.
would expect the $350-$400 /oz estimate is high since they are moving some bulk but otherwise agree.MeredithB wrote: [quote=Carmen]I dont think they make $10... at all.

I get 2 for 50 or 3 for 70. if we take the low end number of 350/28 you get a dealer cost of 12.5 per unit. resulting in profit of 12.5 - 10.83 and decreasing as my purchase quantity increases.
at 5 for 110 his profit is 9.5 per gram. -
This thread is hilarious.

I hope KWAK isn't reading this thread. :cyclopsani:

Seriously, I met Vidro once. If I'd only know he was a god, I would have given him more respect.
-
My tip for the delivery guy is the same each time -
Don't get caught -
How about giving me a little respect, jeez. Vidro ain't got nothing on me.

I use a service in Brooklyn regularly but it seems not to use runner's so i figure they are doing o.k. without a tip with the profits already high (no pun intended). I live and work here so it is cheaper to deal with a Brooklyn WDS. If there is anyone else in the community who would feel comfortable exchanging numbers with me i have a solid connection to offer but really need a back-up who can deliver earlier than after 3pm.
Word's of wisdom Stacey.
