Dry cleaner in North Slope? — Brooklynian

Dry cleaner in North Slope?

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced dry cleaner in the North-ish Slope? I use Carroll Cleaners on 7th Ave. between Garfield & Carroll, but I've noticed their prices have skyrocketed since last year. Is that the case with all cleaners, or just them?

  • gr's on berkeley between 7th and 8th are terrific. they are just behind mr. wonton.

such nice people and i think the prices are quite reasonable...
  • New Green Cleaners just opened on 7th Ave and Berkeley Pl. Prices appear better than Carroll Cleaners. The quality of dry cleaning at Carroll Cleaners has gone down since the new owners bought the place, a few years ago, but their prices have sky rocketed.
  • while the new green apple cleaners looks pretty cool (and i do like the idea of an eco friendly dry cleaner), the prices looked totally obscene to me.
  • The prices in the window at the green cleaner look just about like Carroll cleaners, actually. While I love the green concept, I'm looking for lower prices. I don't have a problem with Carroll, it's just that some of their prices are practically double what they were in the past.
  • I've always used the cleaners underneath Crunch on Flatbush. no complaints whatsoever. and they've been great with alterations as well. i'm very intrigued by Green Apple, however, and plan to check them out.
