There is a big site advertising sublets and I would appreciate any experiences, including if anyone negotiated from a distance, with good results.

Also if I sell everything before moving basically and start over, do ya'll have garage sales? Stoop sales? This seems the most economical, rather than renting a u-haul one way.

Thank you,

Bellaja

I would be careful with sublets - some people do not realize they are not allowed to sublet and it can really screw you in the end. As far as used furniture - we have a few Salvation Army/Good Will type places but its the luck of the draw there. There are a lot of small furiture stores who sell complete sets for very reasonable prices and there is also a Rent A Center here. This is the season for lots of stoop/garage sales also you should check out Craigs List.
