online stoop sale?
i have a whole bunch of stuff, some of which is really too big to bring to a stoop sale, especially because my particular block is totally not conducive to stoop-sale-ing and i'm going to have to borrow a friend's stoop, which means medium-distance lugging. so while i totally want to do a real, physical stoop sale, i also want to get rid of some of the bigger stuff in advance.
yes, i know i could put it on craigslist, but question: does anyone have any interest in/knowledge about how to create a slope-only (or slope + terrace, or brooklynian-only, you get my idea) type thing where pictures of items are posted with tentative prices? i know craigslist has a brooklyn section, but i don't think this is exactly duplicative, because as we all know brooklyn is quite big and 95% of the time the thing you want on craigslist is in williamsburg or greenpoint. my idea is walking-distance oriented. i think it would be a neat perma-feature on brooklynian if people wanted it.
in my imagination, i'd take pictures of everything, put them all in one place online with bargainable prices, and people within walking distance would buy them knowing they were within walking distance.
does such a thing already exist? anyone want to help create? it would have to be ultra-simple, no fancy programming unless there's a programmer out there who for some reason wants to do this pro bono.
