I despise the "greenwashing" of everything. To be truly "sustainable" would mean not buying most of this new frivoulous crap. Truly, from New York Mag, to New York Post, they have special "Green Sponsors," companies that are so afraid of NOT being "green" that they advertise to get their "up$cale" audience. Greenopia actually admits they're looking for the $$$.
Buy an organic candle for only $44.00! made with all natural ingredients! Give me a fkn break. I LOATHE the green movement, and was "Eco-minded" decades before this bullsht. The $mug cloud is suffocating, and getting rich off of this frivolity.

Greenwashing sucks, actual enviro-friendly does not suck.
The point made seems overly broad to me, but . . . ? -
Its all psychological:
If you believe buying something with a green colored package save the earth ....um, ok.
If you believe that this month's magic fruit makes you smarter ...um, ok.
I personally believe that the best thing I can do for the earth is not populate it with yet another child. Think of all the crap the non-existent child won't consume. -
I avoid everything with the words; green, eco friendly, save the planet, sustainable etc etc. Same with Organic. I buy just a few organic items. It's on almost everything.
