New to Crown Heights

Hey everyone,

I just stumbled across this board and figured it'd be a great way to meet new people. I moved here a few months ago, I'm on the corner of New York and Bergen. I'm finding it a bit difficult to meet like minded people my age (I'm 22) here. I'm live alone so it definitely gets lonely sometimes, I have family in NJ though. I moved here from California for a job opportunity so most of my friends are on the west coast. I'm really hoping to meet some friendly people and make new friends here!

    In terms of getting to know the assorted cast of Looney Tunes and other folks present, feel free to post here and especially get ye to the Lounge to read and post any odd and funny items that make the day go by a little faster. (gotta get that post count up somehow, right?)

    Also, keep your eyes peeled for the various in-person Brooklynian events often posted as global sticky threads at the top of the forums.

    Recently had plenty of bar outings, apartment gatherings, a meat-fest churrasqueria dinner junket and even a bowling trip last night.

    Warmer weather will also no doubt bring Midnight Rides in Prospect Park (by bike and/or KWAC's squad car..okay, kidding on the squad car), perhaps another Coney Island outing and trips to other neighborhood watering holes. (Have you been to Franklin Park yet?)

    Anyhoo, welcome!

    Oh, and krunktar? If you happen to see a chubby blue haired chick walking the dogs in my avatar feel free to say hello! I'm also one of the resident crazy cat ladies and can be seen lugging a big bag of food around at night for my strays. I'm not as crazy as I look, I swear! :lol:

    Whynot, you should say hello next time! Sweet Tea recognized my dogs, said hi and that's how we met. She's a doll. The pups and I don't go for our long walks anymore though now that my Cheech is an old man. :(
