Subject: Freddy's v. O'Connors: Season Five

It was a glorious summer day in April when the Big (F)red Machine and the O'C's Moose Heads resumed their storied rivalry. Freddy's lefty ace Matt "K" K. went the distance racking up another complete game victory while fanning one and walking none. O'C's closer, Thomas, took the loss, yiedling four in the top of the ninth and allowing the Freeloaders to take an 11- 10 lead. Freddy's then held the heart of the O'C's order scoreless to preserve the dramatic come from behind 11-10 victory.

The O'C's squad looked strong with off season acquistions from Southpaw and Total Wine Bar. Freddy's owner, Frank, meanwhile stayed out of the free agent market and instead invested in bar surveillance equipment. This decison seemed of questionable worth as the pilferage conitnues. A red caramic bull was discovered in the possession of the O'C's squad at the game. David C. was named MVP for his game-saving Willie Mays-style catch of Bobby's Texas Leaguer which otherwise would have given O'C's an insurmountable lead. The normally sure-handed Bobby then aided the furious Freeloader comeback in the 9th by booting a few grounders at third. Bobby himself appeared confused, as if unable to recognize the true nature of the situation.

  • In defense of my defensive breakdown--I was completely sober. Won't happen again.

As you can see from these photos below, Freddy's team retaliated by trampling over O'Connors team captain, Thomas. The blue bra and that red bull were returned. For out-of-focus photos and a slide show click on the link below.
