There's Redberi on Flatbush. I was thinking the same thing, because the fonts are the same. But the use of "Outlet" made me think that this is where the sale stuff would go. Dunno.
  • My wife and I are opening beri outlet.

beri outlet will be a sister store of redberi in Prospect Heights and blueberi in DUMBO.

All sale items from redberi and blueberi will now be sold at beri outlet. In addition, we will carry vintage clothes, shoes and accessories.

We hope that those of you who already shop at redberi and blueberi will try beri outlet.

And we hope that our new neighbors in Crown Heights will welcome us to the community and try our store.

We hope to open within about a week.
  • I look forward to checking it out! Every time I've gotten Mrs. C a gift from redberi it's been a winner.
  • welcome to the neighborhood, let us know when you open and we'll definitely come to check it out :)
  • I really like redberi, so I'm excited- welcome Steve!
  • It will be nice to have another store near us. See you soon.
  • welcome to Crown Heights.... i hope the prices there are decent! I would love to stop by and check it out.
  • When will the store be opening?
  • We hope to open on Friday, May 8th. I will post when we have a hard date.
  • beri outlet will open tomorrow at noon.

Please stop by and check us out.
  • stopped in this afternoon -- looks great!

y'all should check it out...i think i may be coming back for the sandals i resisted today.
  • I'm surprised this place is still around after a year. It seems like a lot of people on the board shop there, but I'm surprised. Totally a boutique, with prices to match. Could they possibly be profitable?
  • they may have shopped there a year ago, when it first opened.

I'd be interested to see if any of them still do....
  • I went in a while back....I felt awkward there (had to be buzzed in, the woman sat there reading a magazine while i shopped, the place was stone quiet...) and the prices were way more than i would have paid - for anything. i am ALL about supporting local business when i can, but I just couldn't do it. The About Time Boutique has a great vibe for a "boutique" - I feel really welcome -- like everyone in the store is my best friend, even if we've never met. They seem open to having people look and not buy, and their prices - while higher than I usually pay for a hat or shirt - are attainable such that my husband and I have made a number of purchases there. I was surprised Beri Outlet was still around 3 months ago or so when I went in.....I live on Park btwn Franklin and Classon and even still I only saw it when waiting for the B48. It certainly isn't in a highly trafficked area.
  • My wife and I own beri outlet.

I have never understood people's negative reaction to being buzzed into a store. The reasons are simple: there is only one person working and I want that person to be able to refuse entry to anyone that they don't feel safe letting in: for example someone begging for money, selling bootleg dvds, etc., or a group of young kids; and it prevents dash and grab shoplifting.

Trust me we are not snobs and welcome everyone interested in checking out our stuff to come in to browse or shop.

As for you not liking the store, I hope that you will give us another chance. Our prices are at or slightly above the wholesale price we pay. Our merchandise consists of items from prior seasons that did not sell at our redberi and blueberi stores.

As for the saleswoman, she is my mother-in-law, who is a lovely older woman but I will admit not a trained sales person.
