I like a nice backyard to dine in, i prefer not to be out front ond isplay while eating.
That said, i like Song's backyard -
Anthony's backyard. It's great!
-
Bogota has a nice little back patio. Mango and Lemongrass Thai both have backyards.
Some more: Commonwealth, The Gate, Patio Lounge, Alchemy, Rachel's -
I love the back outdoor space at Mura.. Sushi on 5th Ave. The space is lovely and the chairs are super comfortable.... they actually rock. Don't say it.. I must be really old if I can appreciate the end of a meal, sipping beautiful tea and rocking.
I also like my own backyard and tend to eat out less during the summer.
Rachel's... like the food a lot but those picnic benches back there are not comfortable. -
olive vine at lincoln and 7th avenue has a terrific little back patio.
very affordable also...and delicious. their lentil soup is the best and the hummus is pretty darn good too. all their stuff is.
oshima sushi on 7th and berkeley has a GORGEOUS garden, as does moim (korean) but both are rather pricey... -
Both Yamoto on 7th and 1st St. and Franny's on Flatbush have nice back yard patios.

The ones far away from begging bums and dogs tied up to fire hydrants.
What are some of the best bar or restaurant patios in PH and PS?
I would stroll around on 5th Avenue between 1st Street and Flatbush Avenue for Restaurants with dinning on the sidewalk and on 7th Avenue for restaurants with "gardens" in the back.
Miracle Grill on 7th Avenue has a nice patio.
Flatbush farm is not the best bargain in town. The quality of food and service should be better for the prices. -
^^Hey look! Am advertisement directly from the restaurant disguised as a post!
MOD NOTE: shill post referenced above now deleted. - j -
Palo Santo has a great, romantic outdoor space.
-
LTS - Yeah, that was pretty blatant one, thanks for looking out. Oddly enough :^o their IP address is from upstate on the other side of the Catskills, near Oneonta. Guess PR folks are cheaper up there.

Deleting shill post now... -
Down on the South end,
Pizza Plus seems to have nice back patio these days
Little D should have a nice back patio?
Brookvin? -

Last time I was there, it looked like they completely redid the back patio. I'm not 100% sure if they replaced the benches, but it looked like they had. -
Let's not forget Two Boobs, which has a *very* comfortable outdoor section.
-
O'Connor's has a nice backyard space.
-
Not a restaurant, but 4th Ave Pub does too.
-
I noticed Enzo's on PPW and 16th has opened a nice back patio though I haven't tried it yet

how's the food there? -
Le Gamin on Vandy. Good backyard and pretty cheap.
-
AOC ... no backyard, but they apparently can have tables outside

I haven't had a chance to sample a lot of it but I had penne ala vodka the other night which was good and I like the pizza which has more chopped tomatoes on it than tomato sauce. You certainly can't beat the prices, $9 for a pasta and $8 for a margarita pizza big enough for 2 -
Bogota, of course, comes to mind. I'm a fan of Alchemy's patio as well.
I believe either Nana or Long Tan (or both) have beautiful patios.
There's a couple of surprisingly beautiful ones I've sat in at unlikely places, but I'm drawing a blank as to where they were. I think it was some of the more nondescript sushi or thai places on 5th.
I'll second Olive Vine's tent as well.
I wonder if Press 195 did anything to their patio during renovations.
That's what comes to mind at the top of my head. -
Press 195's new back patio is spacious and comfortable- a good find.
Also, O'Connor's back patio has been closed for some time now, they're renovating. -

Possibly Kappa Sake House (ex-Sakura) was one?

Cheryl's Global Soul in PH has a beautiful backyard and their menu is delish. They said it would be open next week.
Beast- you can eat outside, but in the front. Same with Barrette. Soda Bar has a large space in back- always busy. -
Thanks guys.
I recently went to Washington Commons.....good bare bones corner bar, good patio too.....Can't wait for the real summer to arrive..... -

This is second hand but my son keeps telling me I must try Enzo's. he lives around the corner. Anyway.. It is on the list for me (whether or not the backyard is great). Seriously, a number of people have told me that the food is terrific. -
food at enzo's (only went once) was decent and well priced with portions large enough to share
