  • Yeah, because there's NO trash talking on Brownstoner...
  • Ha! That made me laugh out loud! ;-) I don't know if you would be fun to have a drink with or really depressing....
  • Oh you want to have a drink with homeowner but not the rest of us huh!
  • Scarlett, I definitely want to have a drink with you...as long as you promise not to talk about your next tattoo!! ;-) (I promise not to talk about business networking.) Ha!

P.S. Who is "homeowner"??? I only know MeredithB.
  • Yeah no business- I am nonprofit queen!
  • Cool! I am "networking queen" and you are "nonprofit queen". We should wear our queen tiaras.
  • scarlett is going to corrupt you, d123.
  • I'd like to have a drink too, with all of you.

    That could be fun!

Also, MeredithB - not much scares me in this world, but your avatar/photo does. ;-) You'll have to go drinking by yourself. Ha!

FYI, I'm heading over with a friend to One Brooklyn Bridge Park tomorrow night at 7pm (the huge, beautiful building at the end of Atlantic Ave). They're having an art opening (as a way to get possible condo buyers there). I imagine there will be condo viewings (fun!) and refreshments on opening night. Feel free to come:

Well if that scares you, wait until you see the whole picture in person!

    Or whole person in picture.

Which is the same thing, actually.
  • Why don't both of you just meet me and my sometimes drunk friend at Penny Night at 9pm tomorrow night?
  • MeredithB is supafine. His hotness blinds us mere mortals.

I have to drink to look directly at him.
  • yup, he came to Dude's Birthday party. ....he was superfine.

Even Dude thought he was hot, and Dude is fixed.

    You will not be disappointed.

Next weekend I will be sure to be there.

I have to go away this rainy weekend, unfortunately.

But looking forward to it! (meeting you that is)

I hope dude enjoyed his MOAB.

Where/what is penny night? I'm going to this art opening thing tomorrow night with someone I've never gotten together with before. I'm not sure if I can ditch him or not to join you guys (and he may not be fun enough to bring along). It sounds like fun, though, especially the "drunk" part.
  • Ellis! Bring the weirdo and we can use him for target practice!

I'm told her friend is only drunk on special occasions.

    ...occasions where alcohol is served.
  • Lately, I'm drunk only on special occasions, and special occasions seem to be happening nightly! (P.S. If the festivities keep up, I'm going to have to start wearing stretch pants or muumuuus - alcohol is fattening!)
  • The great thing is, anything can be a special occasion if you really want it to.

Drink wine, it's less fattening and you pee less.
  • I'll miss Penny night tonight too. Please give sometimes drunk friend a hello . Also, please let me know if she received message.

Yes. If you see me with a beer, knock me down. Only wine or spirits with diet coke or club soda from now until...

Well sucks for you - I will be at the Ballet next Friday. But, um, hello? We met already. I was not my normal looking self, but we definitely met and toasted to our awesomeness. Glad to know I make such an impression.

Danielle123, meet at Ellis on 17th and 5th at 9pm tonight!

Brooklynbound, she said she didn't get the message, which could mean she got it while drunk and forgot about it. But she sounded like she wants to go, and is looking at her calendar. Can we pay with visa?
  • Right I thought we met, it all gets so confusing sometimes.

I've never actually seen you. I've only seen after images that your hotness has left behind.
  • You mean when he sat on your lap at MexEaster?
  • scarlett wrote: You mean when he sat on your lap at MexEaster?
That was him? His hotness prevents actual visual contact.

    Yes, ma'am! (I will try.)
  • Sorry I didn't make it to Ellis, Scarlet. I was having too much fun (see my recent post). Hope you had a good time with your sometimes drunk friend! Lets make a plan for another night.
  • We didn't end up going either- sat outside at Patio and met a dude from reo speedwagon!

true story (and it will remind you that I am 42 years old). When I was around 12 I went to summer camp (total disaster - I hated it). They took us on a field trip to see REO Speedwagon in concert. I can't even remember where it was, but it was a theatre in the round type of thing.

Being the consummate trouble maker, and bored out of our minds, my friend and I decided to rush the stage. We broke from our seats and made it all the way down the long aisle and up on to the stage before being removed. I remember being punished at camp and being made to sit out of some activities.....which was more than fine by me
