I posted this originally and I still HATE Mr. Softee's obnoxious jingle and will always HATE Mr. Softee's obnoxious jingle. It's like nails on chalkboard. And again, I say this WITHOUT apology. I suspect others feel the same and are just afraid to say so.
whooooaaaa, now THAT's damn funny! Nice one!
I would like to state for the record, however, that I have nothing against ice cream or gentriconfrontation. -

Do you suppose there is a Mrs. Softee?
On a different note, here, you can read alllll about Mr. Softee and his Ice Cream Universe!

And here is the theme song sheet music, 'cause I KNOW you wanted it (note the lyrics)!

Actually, I can still read music from my voice/piano lesson days and these lyrics are for a different melody than the "pop goes the weasel" jingle that the trucks blare, alas (or fortunately?). They actually seem a bit more pleasant and jingley? Maybe they need to go back to their roots ... petition anyone?

that's interesting. this is definitely the same *##*&%$ tune that plays under my window. maybe different some trucks play different tunes.
probably the grass is always greener, but at this point pop goes the weasel would seem positively classically beautiful. this tune is not bad at all the fist 150,000 times. but after that it gets a little old. especially around 10:30 or 11 at night. -
The Mr. Softee Jingle drives me nuts, but alas it's the nyc soundtrack to summer time.
This gentriconfrontation is kinda silly tho, I suppose when somone complains about garbage and broken glass that makes them not Brooklyn enough? " When I was a kid 300 years ago ALL of Brooklyn was made of broken glass and trash, AND WE LIKED IT!!!"
and what could fight the economic powers that be better than annonomously posting a rant about whities moving into yer turf. some a yall are just silly, and you know who you are.
but for the record most of yall are super neato.
