NO!!!!

^^ I had a co-worker that was laid off the day she came back form a foot surgery, on crutches. Have no idea if she took them to court or not. But we were all mortified.

That sucks, but as someone who took a similar fall two months ago and has since been in a giant walking cast/boot contraption, broken is better than ligament and tendon damage. I can't flex my foot!

Yours probably hurts more, but based on all the info from the docs and physical therapist, I wish I'd broken a bone instead of f-ing up all the connective bits. I'm looking at about a 4 month recovery (unless they decide I need reconstructive surgery at the next appointment) for a subway station stair fumble. I was planning to start back to long (15+ miles a day) weekend hikes the weekend after my fall, now I'm stuck in town for all the good weather.

Not really ranting so much as trying to make Flexi feel better. Oh, and 3 weeks ago I caught my boot on a door and feel and screwed up one of the same tendons in the other foot. Klutz here!
