Hey folks,

I need some help finding female dress shoes. Any suggestions on where to find shoes over a size 10 in real life, not online? Does anyone know of a shoe maker?

  • DSW!!!!!!!!
  • I don't know about women's shoes, but I've found DSW is pretty crappy for men's "plus" sizes.
  • But she's asking about women's shoes, not men's.
  • Mougar and I will talk about mens shoes, don't bother us.

Brooklynbound can take or leave our advice.

DSW never has my size. Huge store doesn't have size 8? ...sucks
  • Is that a threat, you meanie peanie?
  • I should be able to talk shoes with Mougar if I want to. ...and you should have to read it.

    ....until they establish Male-lynian.
  • Size 8????????? That is pathetic. :D maybe you should try that dwarf shoe store Papi is building?
  • Whynot , it's supposed to be Dicklynian!

Zappos!! for shoes, return policy is excellent. so even though you cant try them you can endlessly return and exchange. Lots of feedback on the shoes too.

    Dicklynian it is.

    Bring it.
  • I wear an 11(women's) so I feel your pain. DSW is very hit or miss, more miss than hit. I never have a problem at Aerosoles and pretty much buy all my shoes there. Most of the boutique shoe stores in the neighborhood rarely carry over size 10. and I've had some negative experiences at the stores in the neighborhood asking if they carried my size.

They never have my size. :(
  • I'm usually a 13 wide or a 14, but DSW barely even has 13 mediums.

I feel your pain. I am tired of wearing shoes that don't fit!! I usually wear sneakers or flip-flops until I reach my destination. And then I put on the killers. This must stop!

do they come with oars? (watch out for Scarlett, she has a thing for guys with big shoes, likely thinks its related to schlong size). I can assure it has nothing to do with it (just practicing up for the Dicklynian board)

Ok, back on topic, its agreed that DSW at Atlantic Center sucks.

I even tried the one at Union Sq, it sucked too.
  • Umm....Foot Locker?? They carry all sizes.

My husband is a size 12 and he gets his shoes there.

Also , that shoe store in Times Square. I don't know the name of it but he just bought some Jordans from there.
  • I'm telling you, go to Aerosoles. There is one on 7th Avenue by Union St. And usually the only time they don't carry my size if it is something that's been on sale awhile.

I've had bad luck with Aerosoles. I ran through the soles in three months.

So schlong size is not related to shoe size or are you saying that because you are a size 8?

    Yes. DSW blows.
  • really? How long ago was this? They've definitely taken a step up in the quality of shoes.

hmm. . .hard to come up with any other brick and morter stores for you. Zappos really might be the next best thing
  • I'm having a sale on these numbers over zt my place. It's the third stump from the arch in the park.

Look for my flowing white beard and green waistcoat.

  • Last year. :( I am rough with shoes. I stick with New Balance or Asics, but you can't really wear that on a night on athe town. Plus my feet are strange. The same size can be too large or too small. One brand a narrow, the other brand a wide. Straaange.
  • zappos.com

  • OK, OK, I do have average size feet at 7 1/2 so I almost always find shoes at DSW, but my mom has all these issues and has to get shoes in 10s when she used to be an 8. And they have to be wide and they have to fit her orthodics. Basically she has to special order those puppies and they aren't pretty. It sucks for her. I hope you can find some cute ones in your size, Brooklynbound!

And, kind of off topic and not trying to be insulting so please don't get mad, but did anyone see Kinky Boots? It's about a small English town shoe factory that starts making really strong high heels and boots suitable for 6'3" men with size 13 wide shoes. Awesome movie. Mougar owns it, borrow from him.
  • Huh? I may own kinky boots, but I don't own Kinky Boots.
  • re:kinky boots...
maybe I should wait for the ambien to fully kick in before I recheck in on this thread
