terrace bagels specials?

terrace bagels has been offering a lot of specials in the last few months. i don't remember too many in past years. and it seems the specials started soon after they were temporarily shut down by the health inspection department. coincidence? or are they offering specials because theyve been getting less customers since then?

I'd say it's a way to lure people in due to the economy and they probably are still not losing money on the specials

yea, also, the specials usually take effect late in the day. Since they have to make new stuff every day it makes sense to sell what they would otherwise throw away

I would like to take this opportunity to vent on Terrace Bagels:

They get my order wrong every. single. time.*

And when I (believe me VERY KINDLY) remind them of the fact, I get sh*t from them.

You'd think they'd treat customers better. Especially locals they've seen time and again for years.

And by the way Terrace Bagels people, STOP F..KING GIVING ME THAT LOOK WHEN I DON'T PUT MONEY IN YOUR PIECE OF SH*T TIP JAR.

That's the vent.

* 1 egg white, bacon, and cheese on a toasted onion bagel.
1 bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted Whole Wheat bagel.

I know, hard order isn't it.

Tip jars in general can be annoying, but I usually drop my .37cents in anyway.

Regarding the order, I wonder why it's so tough for them. Maybe they just don't like you.

My solution: Write it down, hand it to the counter person.
Or, go to the cafe side.
I recommend the pancakes.

you all know i'm the first one to complain... i have never, ever had terrace get my order wrong, not once.

and i don't believe in tip jars at all and have never gotten a look for not using one there.

Ive been going to terrace bagels for 20 years (god, I feel old) and I don't think they have ever gotten my order wrong. Aside from the fact they always put on too much cream cheese, I haven't had any issues. Not to say they can't make mistakes or their super friendly but Im actually always pretty shocked they don't mess it up considering how crowded and chaotic it is in there.

I'm actually wondering why they didn't start doing these specials sooner... For a while it seemed like they always threw away bags and bags of perfectly-fine looking bagels, a couple times I even considered... never mind...

Also, I think the whole concept of egg whites is what throws them off. I remember my (vegetarian) brother always getting a bacon, egg, and cheese or a sausage, egg, and cheese whenever he ordered an egg whites and turkey... I, for one, have never had an issue with a non egg white sandwich...
