Fruit baskets in PS?

Hi, we just had a baby at Methodists and the nurses were amazing and really hard working so we thought of sending them some fruit baskets. The nurses said they prefered fruits to flowers, more nutrional I guess. Any local store does this and deliver? We don't want to go through the national companies and end up paying $100 for just some apples in a fancy basket with fake grass. For $100 we expect to get a spread. Any deli does this?

    Not sure about PS, Manhattan Fruitier delivers to Brooklyn, Their stuff is great albeit a little pricey. I'd say for 100 bucks, you could buy a basket and fill it up alot more and cheaper than paying a company or deli.

    I have received gifts from Edible.. very good.Nice gift would be something edible but could also be a cheese platter or even afew pounds of cookies. Forget about nutrition. Just buy something and bring it up to the maternity floor. Have a friend do it for you. The secuirity at Methodist is so lax you can just get whatever... how about a tray done by Pollios and bring it up to the floor.

    Edible fruit is fun and cute and and the quality is ok. The Orchard has the best quality fruit i've ever seen, consistenly, and i've been ordering from them for over 20 years. 718 377 0800

    We ordered once from edible arrangement, it was very pretty but I prefer a regular fruit basket.
