  • Sun Luck also has a really good chicken dish called Mala Chicken, spicy as hell.
  • Where is this Sun Luck you speak of?
  • if you haven't tried alchemy on 5th, it's a terrific restaurant.

so is moim (korean) and convivium osteria is superb.

oshima has great sushi and olive vine is nice for an inexpensive middle eastern meal.

al di la is my favorite in the neighborhood, and applewood, stone park and rosewater are also quite delicious...especially for brunch.

haven't tried busacco yet, but i hear it's also a stand out.

that's a lot of nice restaurants for one neighborhood, and i'm forgetting many i'm sure...

    5th near Union
  • oh and ghenet is absolutely amazing ethiopian food.

the new ramen shop zuzu on 4th ave ain't bad either.
  • went to zuzu ramen Friday night and really enjoyed the ramen. Hubby had beef curry with rice and liked it. We ordered pork dumplings and vegetable dumplings and could have done without those, they were both bleh.
But we liked our main dishes a lot and will be going back for those.
  • I'm surprised no one's mentioned Little D's on 7th near 15th yet. It definitely gets high marks, at least in the brunch category (that's the only meal I've eaten there, but I bet the others are also good). They serve interesting dishes in both the sweet and savory categories (plus whatever category cheddar grits fits into) and have a menu that changes a couple times a year. A bit pricey, but not insane. And as a bonus, it's rarely overflowing with strollers.

Also let us bow our heads for a moment to acknowledge the passing of the late great NoNo Kitchen.
